Some other Nicotine Patch Pictures I found today

My own patch today (it felt left out)

Notice in this pic of James Marsters his patch is sticking out just below his sleeve. He also is a long-tern user of nicotine patches.

Yuk! Night Shifts!!!!!

I can't believe I'm on nights again! I am always on bloody nights. But good news is that I lost four pounds again this week! It's only 0850hrs here in the uk and I am off to bed very shortly. Right now it's 92 degrees in the back yard and the sun isn't even up yet.
Never mind thou, my A/C is on and I'm gonna put a fresh patch on and relax into my lovely chilled bed for a whole six hours of day time sleep. That will hopefully be laced with lots of colourful nicotine fuelled dreams and Jake Gyllenhal.

Will some one please read my blog and participate in it x

Nicquitin CQ Clear Patches are better in hot weather

After wearing the clear patches for a while now I think I am well placed to judge which are best in what situation... for instance, the big nicotinell round ones are great if ur going swimming as they stay stuck.

The piddly Nicorette ones are bad in all situations. They dont stick properly and they will fall off as soon as they get the chance.

The lovely 'Nicquitin CQ thinflex' ones are great for all situations. In the morning when you stick them on, warm them gently with the hair dryer for thirty seconds or so. they wont budge til you take it off later in the day. The hair dryer also makes it absorb a little quicker so be careful not to over do it or you'll get all the nasty effects of too much nicotine (not nice trust me). So my reccomendation for the hot smouldering summer is patch up with Nicquitin and you can't lose.

I spoke to my doctor this morning too, about my long term patch use. He says it's not good to be addicted to anything, but patches are better than smoking. He also said he understood why the patches were better than the colitis symptoms.

Today it fell off!

I did the stupidest thing today. I woke up late for my "long day" (a fifteen hour shift) and I thought to myself "skip the usual routine of puttig two patches on to last the day, one will be fine". How little I learn.........

By lunch time in this smouldering heat it had come all un-stuck and had fallen off. Slipping down my leg from my hip. I had to go the whole day with no patch. And it wasn't an easy day. I just can't concentrate properly with out the patch, and I ate all day like a pig. And to cap it off I could feel my colitis symptoms creaping in by 17oohrs and by 1800hrs my tummy was in full 'cramp' mode.

It's okay now though, I'm sat here wearing two lovely nicquitin cq clear patches (21mg) and feeling very serene as I right this post for my blog. My bloated, hateful gut is back to it's normal football pitched size and tomo I'm having a duvet day x

why has no-one even read my blog so far? I'm very hurt :)

The Wrokman, his yellow jacket and his three patches!

Today driving back from a friends i was stopped by a road worker controlling traffic flow. I was at the front of the que and he was stood right next to my window. I looked up and saw he was wearing three patches on his upper arm!
So I asked him what they were for. He laughed and said he was giving up smoking, then he said that he had three on because he liked the "feeling" they gave him. How bizarre? Surely three patches would poison you? i have worn two before and felt pretty good as a result.
I told the man I'd been on the patches for years now and they'd done me no harm, but I reminded him that nicotine was still a drug and he should be careful. He laughed and thanked me and I drove off!

Are there any other non-smokers who use nicotine patches out there? i'd like to talk to them if there are. Think about it, patches are "safer" than smoking. Google: 'james Marsters nicotine patch' (spike from buffy) and you see lots of pics of him wearing patches. If all the kids who started smoking this years were givenpatches at school by the nurse and a support programme imagaine how many lives we'd save in the future.
i think anyone who uses "cleaner" forms of nicotine should advocate them, like me x

Lovley patches

For years now i have worn the lovely patches, and I have never smoked in my life.

Three years ago I was suffering badly from a form of colitis, putting on loads of weight and feeling really down. I googled looking for a cure, a web forum was talking about using nicotine patches to help reduce their colitis syptoms. they all sounded so positive that I went straight to the chemist and bought some patches. The strongest ones I could find.

Since then I've lost 30lbs in weight, my colitis symptoms have reduced to practically nothing and I've never felt better physically or mentally. I've read alot around the subject and I know how nicotine bonds to dopamine receptors in the brain and I am fully aware of how addicted I am. i become a devil when I havent got one on!

But, still no-one nows I wear them. I hide it and I don't know why. So maybe having this little blog-spot will be the start to opening up about my nicotine use.
